@lukasugar I continued from your PR (couldn't commit to the your branch so moved it to a branch in asparagus).
Could you test that this solution also works for your use case? Instead of requiring an argument we run a forward pass using the same method that is used in the step functions and get the information from there.
And then I had to remove the silly secret "_method" underscores. They slipped through the first time, but I couldn't go back to the LP Module and not remove them, so I'm sorry if that causes any inconveniences for you
