Welcome to Snipaste for Mac!

This is a Beta version. Compared to the Windows version, it lacks the following features:

  • Capture the mouse cursor when snipping
  • Scale the image window by dragging its border
  • Show mnemonics on the context menu of the image window
  • Command line interface
  • Proxy settings for checking and downloading updates
  • Install updates automatically

Known bugs:

  • Problems related to Multiple Desktops have not been handled yet
  • The image converted from text may be clamped incorrectly
  • Performance of Gaussian blur annotation needs improvement
  • Performance of cross lines needs improvement
  • Cross-screen snipping is not supported
  • Under multiple screens with different DPIs, the icons on the painting toolbar may be drawn incorrectly
  • Other problems related to multi-screen

Since Snipaste 1.16, some operations of the image window have changed:

  • Zooming: Cmd + Mouse scroll
  • Changing the opacity:Cmd + Shift + Mouse scroll

Note:

  • In order to detect the UI elements during snipping, Snipaste requires the Accessibility permission, therefore this feature is disabled by default. If you need element detection, please enable it in the Preferences Dialog of Snipaste. It will then prompt you how to grant the permission.

If you come across any problems when using Snipaste, please refer to this documentation first. I will gradually enrich contents that are specific to the Mac version.

If you find some unlisted bug(s), please file an issue or join the group for discussion.
