Snipaste does not collect any of your personal data.

All screenshots and images processed by Snipaste are kept local, under the history folder. It is your responsibility to keep them safe and private.

About Network Access

  • For Windows Store versions, Snipaste does not require network access.
  • For other version, Snipaste will connect to network only when it checks for updates. At that time, Snipaste will collect the following information:
    • Snipaste's version (e.g. Snipaste 1.10 x64)
    • Snipaste's UI language (e.g. zh_cn)
    • OS version (e.g. Windows NT 10.0)
    • CPU architecture (e.g. x86_64)
    • System language (e.g. zh_CN)

These information helps me understand which machines Snipaste is running on.
If you still don't like it, you can turn off update checking in the preferences. Then Snipaste will never try to access the network.
