  • Many of the differences between ASGS config files consist of information specific to the operator and HPC platform. This complicates their reuse by different operators and on different platforms and also increase the amount of information in the config files. In order to alleviate this, the ASGS should be able to autodetect the Operator and HPC platform and use a new personas.sh file to set the default path to ASGS installation, Operator-specific libraries, location to write log files, and the correct platform to select from platforms.sh, among other things. The SCRIPTDIR can also be autodetected from the filesystem location where asgs_main.sh is executed.

  • There are several external repositiories on github that are related to ADCIRC or support it in some way that the ASGS could benefit greatly from integrating. This milestone is related to refactoring the ASGS and reconfiguring the ASGS github repository so that it depends on and integrates these repositories.

  • Master has some changes in it that cause it to not function as well as the 2014stable branch. Many updates and changes have been made to 2014stable, and in order to produce a new stable version for 2019, master needs to be fixed and functional across all current hpc platforms as well as desktop.
