Web Accessibility Project

We built this website as a project focused on web accessibility. The goal was to learn how to develop inclusive digital experiences that work for everyone, regardless of their functional ability.
We worked with semantic HTML, proper use of ARIA attributes, clear color contrast, keyboard navigation, and responsive design.
The project is built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and is published via Netlify.

  • It’s great that the team was aware of the focus issue with the toggle — recognizing and acknowledging known issues is key to continuous improvement.
  • The response messaging under the questions is a nice touch, enhancing user interaction and feedback clarity.
  • Overall, contrast levels are strong, and it’s clear the team is conscious of contrast-related challenges.
  • The inclusion of tooltips on switches adds valuable context, especially for screen reader users or those unfamiliar with toggle behavior.
  • Providing a high contrast mode is a significant accessibility win — it ensures broader usability for users with low vision or specific contrast preferences.
