Adopt Birgitta Böckeler's harness-engineering vocabulary: observability as a bidirectional control with guides (feedforward) and sensors (feedback). Add the agent-grades-the-logs reflection loop, an observability fitness function with a computational-vs-inferential table, a runtime-feedback subsection, source attribution, and a Write-Only Observability anti-pattern. Pattern name unchanged.
Scaffold the feedback half of Observable Development: a codified observability standard (.ai/rules/observability.md), a computational fitness function (observability_fitness.py), an LLM-as-judge log-quality sensor (log_quality_judge.py), sample pass/fail operations, and tests. Document the feedback sensors in the example README.
Frame the catalog through Birgitta Bockeler's Agent = Model + Harness lens: feedforward/feedback x computational/inferential, with a table mapping existing patterns onto the four control types, plus the Keep Quality Left and Steer-don't-automate principles. Register the new non-pattern section in the pattern parser exclusion list.
…erns Add the lens to the Related Patterns of the ten patterns it classifies (Codified Rules, Centralized Rules, Spec-Driven Development, Planned Implementation, Custom Commands, Observable Development, Guided Refactoring, Adversarial Evaluator, Error Resolution, Autonomous Remediation) so the framing is reachable from each pattern.
