Pull Requests

Why? We decided to use Pull Requests (PRs)

PRs is a feature that makes it easier for developers to collaborate; plus, GitHub provides a user-friendly web interface for discussing proposed changes before integrating them into the project.

The General PR Process

1. Task gets created in Trello (the team management software used for this project) with a set of requirements for completion
2. Create a new branch with the name of the task as the name of the branch
3. Commit changes as needed and always follow the commit convention established

4. Once all the requirements are complete and commited to the branch create a new pull request (PR)
5. After the PR is reviewed by another team member and all the requested changes are resolved then the team will merge your changes into the main branch
