+The UC OSPO Network is dedicated to providing a welcoming, safe, and equitable experience for everyone at our events, regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, color, immigration status, social and economic class, educational level, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, mental or physical ability, or any other characteristic.

+This Code of Conduct applies to all UC OSPO Network event spaces and activities—including talks, breakout sessions, poster sessions, receptions, hallway conversations, and any online spaces associated with the event. It applies equally to all participants: attendees, speakers, panelists, organizers, sponsors, and volunteers.
+
+## Expected behavior
+
+- **Be welcoming and inclusive.** Make an effort to include people who differ from you.
+- **Be respectful.** Disagreement is fine; disrespect is not. A community where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is not a productive one.
+- **Be thoughtful about the space you take up.** Share airtime in discussions. Step back when others are trying to contribute.
+- **Respect people's boundaries.** Ask before photographing or recording someone. Respect a "no" or "not right now" without pushing back.
+- **Look out for each other.** If you see someone being harassed or excluded, consider intervening or finding an organizer.
+
+## Unacceptable behavior
+
+The following behaviors are violations of this Code of Conduct:
+
+- Violent threats or language directed at another person
+- Discriminatory jokes or language
+- Posting or displaying sexually explicit or violent material
+- Personal insults, especially those using racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory terms
+- Unwelcome sexual attention or inappropriate physical contact
+- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
+- Harassing photography or recording—including photographing or recording someone who has asked not to be
+- Sustained disruption of talks or other events
+- Doxing—sharing someone's personal information without their consent
+- Advocating for or encouraging any of the above
+
+## Photography and recording
+
+Some UC OSPO Network events may be recorded and published on the UC OSPO Network YouTube channel. When this is the case, speakers will be informed in advance and asked to sign media release forms.
+
+Attendees may take photos and short clips in session rooms and common areas. If someone asks not to be photographed or recorded, respect that immediately. Event organizers may designate certain spaces or times as no-photography zones.
+
+## Speakers and presenters
+
+Speakers, panelists, and facilitators are expected to uphold this Code of Conduct in their presentations and interactions. Presentations will generally not be interrupted for minor issues, but organizers will take immediate action to stop any presentation that seriously or repeatedly violates this policy.
+
+## Sponsors and exhibitors
+
+Sponsors and exhibitors are welcome members of our community and are subject to this Code of Conduct. Exhibitors should not use sexualized images, activities, or material, and should not engage in aggressive recruiting or invasive marketing toward attendees.

+## Reporting a concern
+
+If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it:
+
+- **In person:** Find any event organizer, or ask any venue staff member to help you locate an organizer

+You don't have to have a complete account of what happened to make a report. We take all reports seriously.
+
+All reports will be kept confidential where legally possible. If a public statement is needed, it will be anonymized.
+
+## Enforcement
+
+Organizers will investigate all reports promptly. Responses may include:
+
+1. A private conversation to clarify expectations
+2. A warning with clear expectations for changed behavior
+3. Temporary removal from the event or specific sessions
+4. Permanent removal from the event with no refund
+
+The severity of the response will be proportional to the behavior and its impact. Organizers may act immediately if they judge that the safety of any participant is at risk.
