We had some issues last year with people not being able to find information about the event, so one idea was to have some sort of chatbot on the site. This could be as simple as pre-loading it with a bunch of information about the event, then sending a request over to OpenAI. Need to think about the UX of it more. It shouldn't be forced onto users, nor should it be too hidden that they won't use it.

Through the sign-up form, we have Discord usernames and phone numbers (note that these are essentially unverified, so nothing private can be sent over them; SMS also needs an easy opt-out, like reply "STOP"). We should have a way to send important announcements to everyone, and also a way to target it per-team (potentially integrating this into other systems). Team integration requires more discussion about Devpost, though.
Overdue by 2 month(s)•Due by March 15, 2026More discussion is needed on how this will work, especially as far as Devpost integration is concerned. This should be a convenience for judges, and a way to reduce errors / mistakes. It should also help keep judging information private. Importantly, it needs to be able to handle errors in different parts of the process. I.e., team doesn't exist in system, team isn't assigned to judge, etc. We'll also have some alternative way ready if the system breaks. A lot of this should be fairly flexible, but will require a final decision to be made on how judging will work and which questions should be asked.
