  • Specification v1 (2023) released

    First offical UltraStar Format version with new features and improvements. All supporting softwares implement and agree on the changes. Cleaned up from ultrastar history. Supporting every tag and note-type we all currently have in common. Duplicated and unused tags are removed.

  • Project is supported roundly

    All most any karaoke community (UltraStar Deluxe, UltraStar Play, World Party, Melody Mania, Performous, Vocaluxe etc.) feels connected to the meta-project, supports it and contribute. As well as txt-file hostings or tool creators (us manager, ultrasinger, yass, karedi etc.) especially song creators and devs. the project is linked on every page and the project links back. Website and repository is well-known and highly ranked in searches.

  • Present situation of format is clear

    - We have a full exhaustive understanding how ultrastar song format is used in different karaoke games, editors and txt-file hostings so far. - We know the most popular software and identify almost any differences and inconsisties between usage in detail. - We know the different note types and meta tags and how each karaoke software interprets it right now. - We make our knowledge about the actual situation transparent via lists, tables etc. - We have the basis to begin a standardization and versioning strategy.
