What changed
The README now names all four on-device speech engines, replaces the WhisperKit-only badge and opening copy, and makes the Release badge stable-only. The separate Nightly badge remains.
Why
v0.8.0 ships Parakeet, Apple Speech, and specialized ONNX support alongside Whisper. The old framing made WhisperKit sound like the entire product.
