In the context of the CORDEX Task Force on CORDEX-CORE, we are considering again the data request. The current plan is to

  • Use the EURO-CORDEX output list and revise it
  • Have CORE mandatory variables and then TIER-1, TIER-2
  • Leave default CORE variables (as they are based on download statistics)
  • Remove variables from the TIER-1 variables, which can be cleaned
  • Do we need all pressure levels?

We can discuss the reduction of the data request in this PR. Comments on particular variables can be added here. The data request can be more cleanly explored here. Or downloaded as xlsx.

High frequency output from slow-varying fields are good candidates to drop from the data request, especially for 3D fields (tsl, mrsfl, mrsol)
