Western Research Advisory for Vulnerabilities, Exploits & Networks

Student-led threat research. Real-world cyber ops.

About WRAVEN

WRAVEN (Western Research Advisory for Vulnerabilities, Exploits & Networks) is a student-led cybersecurity team at Western Michigan University.
We run monitor threat actors, publish research, build open-source tools, and host trainings for students who want to break stuff (legally) and learn fast.

  • Weekly meetings, open to all skill levels
  • Real threat actor tracking, malware analysis, and CTF training
  • Projects include threat reporting, research, malware analysis, and more
  • Based out of WMU — but open to collaboration beyond it

We're fiscally sponsored by The Hack Foundation (Hack Club), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 81-2908499).
That means all donations are tax-deductible and directly fund student cybersecurity work.

🛠 We don't do cybersecurity theater. We build ops-grade systems, publish real data, and train the next gen of threat analysts.
