Development Process

Greatness of Taskboard is not an accident, but a result of agile process we use. This process is not strictly defined, but we are still trying to improve it. We started with standard iteration-based scrum, but Taskboard is developed mostly in our free time and it was hard to give accurate estimates and fixed iteration commitments, so now we are trying a Kanban methodology.

Although we got a one rule: working on Taskboard must be fun. If it’s not a fun, we immediately stop and change it! That’s probably the biggest secret ;) We are trying technologies (Ruby on Rails, Juggernaut) and methodologies (Behaviour Driven Development) that we never used before and we are learning a lot!

The main difference, which cause the Taskboard being so unique, is that we use it during developing the Taskboard itself. So we are not only the developers, but the users of Taskboard as well. Every day we use our product and we are strongly motivated to make it even more perfect than it already is.
