🖥️ Apex IT – Office Equipment Management System

Apex IT is a full-stack office equipment management solution designed to help organizations track, maintain, and manage their office equipment with ease. Built using the ABP Framework v9, Next.js with TypeScript, and Ant Design, this app ensures a clean, responsive, and enterprise-ready experience.

📦 Installation

Running Locally

Prerequisites

  • Node.js (v18+ recommended)
  • Yarn or npm
  • A valid Google Gemini API key for AI features

Setup

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/WillemBarendKruger/Apex-IT.git
    cd Apex-IT/Frontend
  2. Install dependencies:

    yarn install
    # or
    npm install
  3. Configure environment variables:

    • Create a .env.local file in the Frontend directory.
    • Add your Gemini API key:
      NEXT_PUBLIC_GOOGLE_CLOUD_API=your-gemini-api-key
      
    • Create a .env file in the Backend directory.
    • Add SendGrid API Key:
    • NEXT_PUBLIC_SENDGRID_API_KEY=your-gemini-api-key
      
  4. Run the development server:

    yarn dev
    # or
    npm run dev

    Backend

    cd Backend
    set Apex-IT.Web.Host as the active project
    build a solution
    dotnet run
  5. Open the app:
