Title: [Feature Request] Native Sprint Burndown Chart based on Story Points
Description:
Hello Windshift Team,
First of all, thank you for building such a promising connected delivery platform. As we start using Windshift with our first customer, we are looking to adopt a Scrum workflow for our sprints.
The Need:
Currently, there does not appear to be a native way to visualize a Sprint Burndown Chart based on Story Points within Windshift. While GitHub Projects offers some basic insights, it lacks the specific agile logic required to track "Remaining Effort" (Story Points) day-by-day against the ideal trend line.
Proposed Feature:
We would love to see a dedicated Burndown Chart view in Windshift that:
- Aggregates Story Points: Sums up the story points of all issues linked to a specific Sprint/Milestone.
- Tracks Progress: Automatically updates the "Remaining Points" as issues change status (e.g., from "In Progress" to "Done").
- Visualizes Trends: Displays a line chart showing:
- The ideal burndown line (linear decrease from total points to zero).
- The actual remaining points over time.
- Handles Scope Changes: Adjusts the total scope if new issues with story points are added mid-sprint.
Why this matters:
This chart is critical for daily stand-ups to help the team identify if they are on track to complete the sprint goal or if scope needs to be negotiated. Without it, teams often have to rely on external tools or manual spreadsheets, which breaks the "connected delivery" flow that Windshift aims to provide.
Questions for the Maintainers:
- Is this feature already on the roadmap?
- If not, would you be open to a Pull Request contributing this feature? If so, could you point us toward the relevant parts of the codebase (e.g., where reporting logic or chart components are handled)?
Thank you for considering this request. We are eager to help make Windshift a complete solution for Agile teams.
Best regards,
Guillaume Vial
