Date picker typing in issue

We've noticed an issue with the date pickers where if you type over a value like dd with the actual date value, but if you type over the year (yyyy) when you type say 1 or something it instantly closes the date picker - rather than letting you continue on

Should be fixed in 0.8.8, there is still a problem on the create dialog where the picker suddenly jumps to the next line but that issue will be addressed in 0.8.9
