Prebuilt rootfs (v2.4.1)

These files are used by the prebuilt-rootfs recipe in the Linux SDK to generate Debian/Ubuntu system images. Due to GitHub's file size limits within repositories (and the inconvenience of using Git LFS), we have chosen to place these files in the Releases section instead. As these files are rarely modified, this approach appears to be a workable solution for now.

You need to download and place these files under the path meta-xpressreal/recipes-xpressreal/prebuilt-rootfs/files to build debian/ubuntu images.

Here are the Linux system images for the XpressReal board.
Follow the Wiki instructions to write an image to a microSD card and boot from it.

• xpressreal-core-image-minimal.wic.xz: the image built with bitbake core-image-minimal, it's a minimal linux console environment
• xpressreal-debian-{server,desktop}.wic.xz: core-image with debian rootfs, with XFCE desktop environment installed on *-desktop version.
• xpressreal-ubuntu-{server,desktop}.wic.xz: core-image with debian rootfs, with XFCE desktop environment installed on *-desktop version.

These system images are built manually using the XpressReal Linux SDK. We are planing to open-source the SDK and use an automated build process to release new images in the future.
