Hi,
The aim of this PR is to clean logic that was required to supported older OCaml switches. Now that only OCaml 5 #210 or newer is supported, it is not required and only decreases code cleanliness. Older releases can be used for pre OCaml 5 support, however it is too cumbersome and impractical to maintain full compatibility.
