Campus Recruitment System 🎓

The Campus Recruitment System is a web-based platform designed to streamline the recruitment process for colleges and universities. It provides a centralized platform where students, recruiters, and placement officers can interact efficiently.

This system eliminates the need for manual paperwork, speeds up recruitment cycles, and ensures a transparent hiring process for all stakeholders.

⚙️ Installation & Setup

Prerequisites

Make sure you have the following installed:

  • PHP >= 8.0
  • Composer
  • PostgreSQL
  • Git
  • Apache/Nginx server (XAMPP/LAMP/WAMP or manual setup)

Steps

  1. Clone the repository
    git clone https://github.com/your-username/campus-recruitment-system.git
    cd campus-recruitment-system
  2. Install dependencies
    composer install
  3. Configure Environment
    Copy .env.example to .env and update database credentials:
    DB_CONNECTION=pgsql
    DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
    DB_PORT=5432
    DB_DATABASE=campus_recruitment
    DB_USERNAME=your_postgres_user
    DB_PASSWORD=your_postgres_password
  4. Run database migrations
    php artisan migrate
  5. Start the development server
    php artisan serve
    Access the project at: http://127.0.0.1:8000
