Curator is used by FRC students, mentors, and families — many of them minors. This project holds contributors and community members (issues, pull requests, discussions) to that standard.
- Be respectful and constructive, especially when disagreeing.
- Assume good faith. Ask clarifying questions before assuming someone is wrong.
- Keep feedback focused on the code, the idea, or the bug report — not the person.
- Be patient with newer contributors; not everyone has the same experience level.
- Harassment, personal attacks, or discriminatory language or jokes.
- Sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content or language.
- Publishing others' private information without consent.
- Sustained disruption of issues, pull requests, or discussions.
- Impersonating FIRST, event officials, or other contributors.
This applies to all project spaces — GitHub issues, pull requests, discussions, and any other official Curator community channel — and to anyone interacting with the project in those spaces.
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, report it to alex@alexradu.co. Reports are handled privately. Retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith is itself a violation of this Code of Conduct.
Project maintainers may remove, edit, or reject contributions, comments, or issues that don't align with this Code of Conduct, and may warn, temporarily ban, or permanently ban contributors for violations, at their discretion.
