with the release of React 15.5 it introduced a couple of deprecations one of them being the createClass method from the React class.
Let me know if this looks good. If you are in favor of refactoring StoreConnection into a class using ES2015 syntax let me know and I can create a different PR for this change. this was the least amount of change but we can go with ES2015 syntax if you prefer.
