ExpenseAgent is a smart AI agent developed using Azure AI Studio (Foundry). It helps organizations track employee expenses, monitor budgets, follow policy limits, and generate financial summaries in a conversational format.
- Prompt employees or departments to submit expenses with:
- Amount, Purpose, Department / Project, Receipt (if available)
- Automatically categorize expenses into:
- Travel, Transport, Accommodation, Office Supplies, Meals, Client Entertainment, etc.
- Asks for clarification when a category or purpose is unclear.
- Finance leads set monthly or quarterly budgets.
- Sends alerts when spending:
- Reaches 80% →

- Flags risky or unusual spending patterns.
- Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly summaries.
- Visual breakdowns using pie charts, bar graphs, and trend lines.

- Uses a formal and professional tone
- Ensures clarity, policy-compliance, and promotes transparency

- A downloadable summary at the end of each cycle
