It is extremely frustrating when one finds that the book of face has blocked your account as a result for running this script. Here is what to do to when you discover the unthinkable has occurred to you.
- Don't panic!
This block is only temporary and sometime soon you will find that it has been removed. So, do not get angry and do something that might turn around and bite you at a later point in time. Stay calm.
- Avoid using the book of face for at least 24-48 hours.
Most bans last for a minimum of 24 hours. Some of us have experienced longer, more excessive bans, lasting up to 96 hours. So it is critical that once you discover your profile banned that you stop using this script immediately or you will suffer a more lasting ban on your account. One should also avoid using the book of face in every facet. Any further attempt to use the book of face will be considered as another violation and will extend the current ban to an even longer and more absurd period.
- Notify facebook of the faulty restriction to their current policy
For the first time, we are beginning to see Facebook offering users who believe they have been un-rightfully banned provide feedback. In the message notifying the user that they have been banned, there is a link that provides the opportunity for a user to respond if they feel that the ban is in error. Accepting that facebook has no intention of actually reading your feedback, regardless take the time to voice your disatisfaction with the book of face's excessive rate limiting policy. Be polite, and clearly state, you are not comfortable with a company that enforces such an authoritarian policy.
- The book of face clearly doesn't care if you exist.
Understanding that the book of face clearly could care less if you exist is pinnacle in uderstanding the user to site relationship. They do not need your patronage, they do not care if you are comfortable with using the platform, and only see you as a parasite.
