Hi! Thanks for publishing the PPPoE half-bridge setup.
I'm currently trying to reproduce the BPI-R4 Pro setup from EXAMPLE.md, specifically the 10G path using eth1 for the PPPoE upstream and mxl_lan5 downstream.
Could you share the exact OpenWrt version/build you used when testing this setup and the >5 Gbps performance?
In particular, it would be really helpful to know:
- OpenWrt release / snapshot revision
- Kernel version
- Whether it was an upstream OpenWrt image or a Banana Pi/vendor build
- If possible, the exact image/build date or commit
- MxL862xx firmware version, if known
I'm using a BPI-R4 Pro 8X (8 GB). I currently have an older 24.10-SNAPSHOT/vendor build with kernel 6.6.93 and opkg, while current OpenWrt snapshots use apk and behave somewhat differently on this hardware.
Since the current guide uses apk but also mentions OpenWrt 24.10, I wasn't sure which build was actually used for the original BPI-R4 Pro testing.
