Many new features
Main features include:
- Overhaul on the audio settings
- Audio pre-render engine, rendering audio in realtime to an audio buffer and then playing back from it
Other changes:
- Estimated FPS (if you want to have a locked fps but still estimate performance)
- Pre-render buffer length on info card (shows how many seconds ahead have been rendered)
- Select which parameters you want to see in the info card
About Pre-Render:
PLEAS UPDATE OMNIMIDI if you have it installed. Omnimidi and kiva both use the global "shared soundfonts" list.
If you don't have omnimidi installed though, it should still work fine.
The pre-render engine allows you to render sections of a midi ahead of time or while it's playing, making the midi sound more perfect.
HOWEVER, it sounds awful if the engine can't keep up and starts skipping notes. In cases like this, I recommend switching back to kdmapi.
