Hi there! I'm Aum Soni — a curious and hands-on software developer currently pursuing my Honours Bachelor’s degree in Software Development at Seneca Polytechnic in Toronto.
I started my journey by completing a 3-year diploma in Computer Programming and Analysis, where I got introduced to full-stack development. Over time, I’ve learned how to build real applications from scratch, both independently and as part of a team. I’ve been fortunate to do two co-ops so far — one at an Ontario Ministry and another at Canada Post — where I worked on meaningful projects like digitizing public forms and reimagining login experiences for real users.
I enjoy working with Angular, React, Next.js, Spring Boot, and databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL. But more than that, I enjoy the process of solving problems, learning as I go, and shipping things that are both useful and well-crafted.
These days, I’m exploring Next.js 14+, improving my design-to-code workflow, and strengthening my DSA fundamentals. I'm about to start my third co-op as a Jr. Technical Analyst with the Ontario Public Service, and I’m excited to grow even more through that experience.
Outside of code, I enjoy learning from others, trying out side projects, and being involved in my college dev club where we run events and work on projects together.
