The README had not been touched since M0 and still advertised only the tensor round-trip surface. Reflect the current state: Backend (M2), Compiler (M5), four Bumblebee models (DistilBERT, Qwen3, ViT, Whisper), the M6 drop, and the M8/M9 horizon. Add an architecture diagram, a realistic usage snippet via `Nx.global_default_backend/1`, a shipped-milestones list, and a testing cheatsheet.
