Summary

  • Adds a new dataset entry datasets/ibl-brain-wide-bench.yaml for BrainWideBench, a large-scale, multi-task benchmark for evaluating neural foundation models in neuroscience
  • Data is hosted at s3://brain-wide-bench (us-east-1), browsable at https://brain-wide-bench.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html
  • Built on the IBL Brainwide Map dataset (Neuropixels recordings from 139 mice, 276 brain regions), which already has a registry entry at datasets/ibl-brain-wide-map.yaml
  • Benchmark defines three task suites: behavioral decoding, neural activity prediction, and brain region identification
  • Managed by the International Brain Laboratory, licensed CC-BY 4.0

Hi Beryl, the publication is currently under review, I suggest to keep this PR open or as a draft until we have a publicly available link ? Then we would be able to do a proper and final release.

Would that work ?
