This is the first official release of the JINA Python Chemical Evolution Environment (JINAPyCEE), a multi-zone extension of the NuGrid Python Chemical Evolution Environment (NuPyCEE).

This release includes:

  • OMEGA+, a galactic chemical evolution code consisting of a galaxy surrounded by a circumgalactic medium,
  • Script to calibrate the input parameters of OMEGA+,
  • Script to launch OMEGA+ instances in parallel on multiple processors,
  • Numerical integration routine in OMEGA+ to improve speed and convergence,
  • GAMMA, a cosmological chemical evolution code running several instances of OMEGA+ on top of merger trees.
