is it? looks like many of the crates here use the git instead. What would you say are the benefits?

Adding my new crate
bevy_pipe_affectto the assets website. It's a library (not a plugin) that allows users to write with a more functional code style, never performing side-effects. I'm just guessing "Development tools" is the right category for this.
