Summary

  • Simplifies Stage 2 of the release process by including the @bigcommerce/catalyst-makeswift changeset directly in the sync merge commit, eliminating the need for a separate bump-version branch and PR (saves an entire PR cycle per release)
  • Updates the tags section with explicit commands for pushing @latest tags for both @bigcommerce/catalyst-core and @bigcommerce/catalyst-makeswift

Test plan

  • Read through the updated "Cutting New Releases" section and confirm the steps are clear and accurate
