This fixes the problem indeed!
To reproduce it I'm using a controller with extra buttons/axis (8Bit Do Ultimate 2C) and on a Mac Air screen (1710x1112px 13in screen).

Even though I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue on my PC, the problem was fairly clear in the video attached to the issue.
