PM Partner

A collection of Agent skills for product managers — a partner that helps you think your judgment through.

These skills don't generate documents or answers for you from scratch. Instead, they use questions, diagnosis, and calibration to help you clarify your own thinking. Think of them as sparring partners for your reasoning, not ghostwriters.

Goal Coach

Coaching skills for goal quality — OKRs and Sprint Goals. Through guided questions, it helps you articulate quality Objectives, measurable Key Results, and outcome-focused Sprint Goals in your own words — it won't write them for you.

  • okr-intake-coach — Start your OKRs from scratch; for when you have only a rough direction and no draft yet
  • okr-objective-challenger — You have an Objective draft and want a quality review
  • okr-kr-critic — You have Key Results drafted and want to check whether they truly measure the Objective
  • sprint-goal-coach — Diagnose whether your Sprint Goal is truly a goal, or just a title for a to-do list

See it in action:

You: Here's our sprint goal: "Complete the checkout redesign, fix the top 12 bugs, and update the API docs."

AI: That reads more like a list of work items than a goal — and that's very common, so let's find the goal hiding inside it. If all three were done by the end of the sprint, what would be different for your users or your business? And of the three, which one would make the sprint feel like a failure if it slipped?

Decision Valuation

Tools for putting honest numbers on a decision. They often work as a pipeline: calibrated inputs and quantified intangibles feed the ROI calculation.

  • calibrated-estimate — Turn "I don't know" into a 90% confidence interval, using the Absurdity Test to counter overconfidence
  • intangible-value-quantification — Translate hard-to-quantify value — brand, trust, morale — into figures you can put on the same table as costs
  • feature-roi — Combine development cost and expected benefit into payback time, with a decision summary

See it in action:

You: Is this feature worth building? It's about 3 sprints of work, and I think maybe 20% of users would adopt it.

AI: Let's make that 20% honest before we calculate. Could adoption possibly be below 2%? ... And could it possibly be above 60%? I'm looking for the bounds you'd call absurd — once we have a range you actually believe, we'll run the ROI on the whole range instead of a single hopeful number, and see whether the answer changes across it.

Positioning Coach

An interview-style guide that walks you through building the classic positioning statement from Geoffrey Moore's Crossing the Chasm — who the product is for, why they would choose it, and how it differs from the alternative. It asks; you answer; the statement is built from your own words.

  • positioning-coach — One question at a time: target customer, need, category, key benefit, competitive alternative, differentiation

See it in action:

You: I need help figuring out the positioning for our product.

AI: Happy to walk through it with you — one piece at a time. Let's start with the target customer, and let's be narrower than feels comfortable: among everyone who could use your product, who feels the pain most urgently today? What were they doing about it before they found you?

Usage

Once installed, just describe your situation in plain language — for example, "Can you take a look at this sprint goal?" or "Is this feature worth building?" — and the matching skill will be triggered automatically. There's no need to remember skill names or special commands.

These skills also pair well with Product Coach, a companion project that sets up a persistent PM coaching agent — one that remembers your context across sessions and guides your thinking through questions. PM Partner gives that coach (or any Claude session) a toolbox of focused skills to reach for; Product Coach provides the long-term coaching relationship around them. They work well together, and each works fine on its own.

Feedback & Contributions

Issues are very welcome! If a skill asks the wrong questions, misses your situation, or could coach better, please open an issue — real usage stories are especially appreciated.
