Welcome to the WP UnFramework wiki!

WP UnFramework is a WordPress starter theme for developers to build on. It uses the principles from HTML 5 Boilerplate and integrates them into a WordPress theme.

Do we really need another WordPress framework?

No this is not really a framework that's why it's called UnFramework.

How is this different than a framework theme

WP UnFramework was NOT intended to be used as a parent theme to build child themes from (it's possible to do so and your welcome to do it). This theme is meant to be used as a stand alone theme for starting projects. It contains a sample custom post type, taxonomy, custom widget with options, and 2 sidebars. These features can easily be removed changed or built on giving the developer the most amount of flexibility.

This theme does not contain any complicated hooks or filters that require you to learn somebody else's method of coding before you can start. This theme only uses current WordPress best practices and up to date methods. There are NO DEPRECATED functions or UNDEFINED INDEXES or other annoyances found in some premium commercial themes.
