The Day of Datomic slides have links to docs an examples on almost every slide. If you read and fully understand this accompanying detail, you should know enough to teach the course!

Fix the docs first

If there is something you don't understand in the slides, and the linked docs don't explain it, start by proposing fixes to the docs

Know the datasets

Make sure you are are familiar with the Datasets used in the examples, and that you have those datasets accessible while teaching.

The model is the model

The Datomic information model is substantially consistent across all the various products and tools. The course materials are designed to be generic wherever possible, and then to call out specific differences. If you teach the model, people can consult the docs for specifics.
