Description
Leaving you unable to edit the field to rectify the situation.
Fix: catch the error and allow the field edit page to display without the configuration selected. That way you can choose/create a new config.
Note: Craft v4, you can already edit the field if the CKE config for it no longer exists; except there, the config will default to the first one on the list.
