Risks and Mitigations

Potential Risks:

1. Struggle to get in touch with nonprofits/helpful contacts
2. Not have needed feedback on app throughout the development process
3. Learning curve with Xamarin
4. Begin development before hearing back from contacts, then learn that our idea is unneeded/already exists.
5. Struggle to move excel document data into SQL database

Mitigations:

1. Continue reaching out to new contacts
2. This lines up with the previous risk. We'll continue reaching out to more contacts throughout the semester if we feel we need more perspectives/feedback.
3. Allot time for learning Xamarin into original schedule so that we don't set an unrealistic schedule goal that we won't make.
4. One mitigation we talked about in this case is to switch our focus towards creating a volunteer view, rather than gearing our app towards those looking for resources such as shelters, etc.
5. Reach out to our TA for advice, do prior research, build time into schedule for learning how to do this/reformatting if necessary.
