💫 My Journey

1. Development and Coding Foundations

My DevOps career began with a strong focus on software development. I worked extensively on:

  • Backend Development: Using Spring Boot for building secure and performant APIs.
  • Frontend Integration: Collaborating on Angular projects to create seamless user experiences.
  • Database Management: Optimizing transactions and reporting using Oracle and PostgreSQL.

2. Building Deployment Pipelines

To ensure efficient and reliable deployments, I shifted my focus toward CI/CD pipelines:

  • Automation: Implemented pipelines with Jenkins and integrated quality checks using SonarQube.
  • Containerization: Used Docker to standardize environments and streamline deployment processes.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leveraged Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure setup.

3. Transition to Operations

In this phase, I gained deep expertise in running applications in production environments:

  • On-Premise Operations: Managed private datacenters with tools like Nginx, Rancher, and Prometheus/Grafana for monitoring.
  • Cloud Adoption: Migrated services to AWS and Google Cloud, employing EKS and GKE for orchestrating Kubernetes clusters.

4. Scaling Financial Systems

My recent focus has been on designing systems that can handle the complexities of modern banking:

  • Microservices Architecture: Decomposed monolithic applications into microservices for scalability.
  • Event-Driven Systems: Integrated Kafka for real-time data processing and transaction handling.
  • Centralized Logging: Deployed Fluentd and Loki to ensure effective log management.
