As the guidelines version 2 aren't necessarily including enough information, we're still in the process of concept and design work to fill the gaps. I wouldn't expect to finish the implementation previous to February or March 2024, but still in the first half of the year as we're getting this feature requested quite frequently.

Hi @michaelmejaeger, sorry for letting you waiting this long. We've aligned on that we won't proceed with integrating this into v2 of DB UX Design System, as we still expect a lot of efforts (and possible support necessary), as well as that we couldn't ensure accessibility compliance easily. That for we would like to suggest to migrate to DB UX Design System v3 as it's successor with dark mode baked in from the very beginning.
