SAT-VEX is an advanced satellite tracking and visualization system developed as an individual project.
The project focuses on real-time satellite position estimation, orbit propagation using TLE data, and ground footprint prediction, with enhancements using machine learning–based correction models.
This project originated as Module 1 of a Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 winning solution, and has been independently extended and maintained.
SAT-VEX is designed to:
- Track satellites in real time on a 3D globe
- Predict future satellite positions using orbital mechanics
- Improve orbital accuracy using ML-based correction models
- Estimate satellite ground footprints for coverage analysis
The system targets applications in Space Situational Awareness (SSA), satellite monitoring, and space-tech research.
