Feature:

  • Text Highlighting & Annotation: Highlight selected text and add notes to your reading.
    • Select text in the reading area to create highlights with customizable colors
    • Add notes to any highlight for personal annotations
    • View, edit, and delete annotations with a click on highlighted text
    • Annotation Settings (in Settings modal):
      • Enable/disable annotation feature
      • Choose storage location (Local IndexedDB or Cloud backend API)
      • Set default highlight color
      • Custom color management: drag to reorder, add custom colors, delete custom colors
      • Export all annotations or book-specific annotations as JSON
    • Data Migration: When switching storage locations, optionally migrate existing annotations
