Summary

Combines the three open dependabot batches into a single PR and fixes the breaking changes they introduced.

Console changes required by the frontend majors

maplibre-gl 6 is ESM-only and no longer ships a default export, so choropleth.tsx imports the namespace instead.

react-resizable-panels 4 is a full API rewrite. The shadcn resizable primitives and MasterDetail were migrated:

  • PanelGroup -> Group, PanelResizeHandle -> Separator
  • direction -> orientation
  • autoSaveId -> the useDefaultLayout hook, which keeps the same react-resizable-panels:<id> localStorage key but stores a { panelId: flexGrow } map instead of the old { layout: [...] } shape
  • bare numeric sizes are now pixels, so the percentage props are passed as "NN%" strings
  • the Group owns its own flex/overflow styles, making the wrapper's flex h-full w-full classes redundant
  • a Separator reports its own orientation, which is the inverse of its Group's. The handle's orientation variants had to be flipped accordingly; keeping the old mapping rendered the divider full-width and collapsed both panels to 0px.

The public ResizablePanelGroup / ResizablePanel / ResizableHandle names and their data-slot attributes are unchanged, so call sites and e2e selectors keep working. e2e/resizable.spec.ts was updated for the new persisted-layout shape.

Lockfile dedupe

Dependabot's frontend lockfile resolved two copies of @codemirror/language (6.12.3 for @codemirror/lang-json, 6.12.4 for codemirror-json-schema). CodeMirror facets require a singleton, so the schema completion source never bound to the JSON language and schema-aware autocomplete silently stopped working. pnpm dedupe collapses it to a single 6.12.4.

Note on the failing check on #87

The frontend job on #87 failed on pnpm's minimumReleaseAge policy: five transitive packages had been published within 24h of that run. They are now over a week old and pnpm install --frozen-lockfile passes the policy check.

Test plan

Run locally against the merged branch:

  • make lint - ruff, mypy, pyright all clean
  • make coverage - 838 passed, 2 skipped, 94.76% total
  • make test-slow - 13 passed
  • pnpm install --frozen-lockfile - passes the supply-chain policy check
  • pnpm exec tsc -b --noEmit - clean
  • pnpm lint - clean (only pre-existing fast-refresh warnings)
  • pnpm build - console bundle rebuilt and committed
  • pnpm exec playwright test - 36 passed

The resizable, sidebar, config, and console specs were confirmed failing before the migration and passing after, and the configs split was visually verified in a browser.

- maplibre-gl 6 is ESM-only and dropped its default export; import the namespace.
- react-resizable-panels 4 renamed PanelGroup to Group and PanelResizeHandle to
  Separator, replaced `direction` with `orientation`, moved `autoSaveId` into the
  `useDefaultLayout` hook, and now treats bare numeric sizes as pixels rather
  than percentages. A Separator also reports its own orientation, which is the
  inverse of its Group's, so the handle's orientation variants are flipped.
- Dedupe the lockfile: dependabot left two copies of @codemirror/language, which
  broke schema-aware autocomplete because CodeMirror facets require a singleton.
