Why is this awesome?
Adding cloudrift, a read-only CLI for AWS cost and security hygiene.
44 checks spanning compute, storage, networking, containers (EKS), and ML (SageMaker) waste detection, plus security misconfiguration scanning in the same pass.

A few things that set it apart:

• CI/CD native — exits with a budget-threshold failure code and produces markdown output for PR comments, so cost regressions get caught before merge, not after the bill arrives.
• MCP server mode — exposes the scanner as tools Claude Code, Copilot Chat, and other MCP-compatible agents can query directly, instead of piping CLI output into a chat manually.
• Ports-and-adapters architecture, specifically so GCP/Azure support (in progress) doesn't require touching the core detection logic.
• Published on npm (@cloudrift/cli), actively maintained, with documented false-positive handling (grace periods, exclusion tags) rather than raw thresholds.
