This works but it's extremely bare-bones, lacks a lot of functionality, and does some things the wrong (so I don't recommend installing it on real hardware).

Basic functionality included:

• Keyboard commands:
  +WASD - Move cursor
  • C, X - Spawn/kill cell
  • [space] - Pause/resume simulation
• io_wait timer
• 80x25 text display
• grub bootloader
