Note: All reasons also include parity with the source material.

Vampire now features its role color from Town of Salem 2

Why?
I'm not entirely sure why the color choice for Vampire in TOU was dark gray.
Pestilence already uses that color.

I chose TOS2 Vampire over TOS1 Vampire because it's more recent.

Executioner now features its role color from Town of Salem 2

Why?
Brown's... an ugly role color.
Both TOS1 and TOS2 also use gray, no entry in the TOS franchise uses brown for any role Executioner.
Executioner being gray just looks so nicer compared to the ugly brown that Town of Us has been using for Executioner since its addition.

Crewmates no longer have unique colors

Why?
This might seem a bit controversial, but this has more positives than negatives.

  1. Crewmates are not Neutrals, they should not have role dependent colors.
  2. The source material, the Town of Salem franchise, has colors based on faction. Green for Town, Purple for Coven, etc. In no scenario is a color every exclusive to a specific role (you could argue neutrals like Jester and Executioner do, but those are faction colors and the devs can very easily create a Sheriff with the Executioner faction (although why?)
  3. Accessibility; You see, when every crewmate has a unique role color to go with it, it becomes quite hard to tell just how many crewmates there were. With this change, you can tell by just a glance (like the image below, which clearly shows there were five crewmates)
    • It's also helpful for newer players, showing that the bright red = Impostors, light blue = Crewmates, and anything else is neutral
  4. Consistency; Impostors don't have unique colors, why do the crewmates need them?
  5. Differing colors = different factions. If the Mayor is one color and the Jailor is another, that's a clear indication they are not the same faction. This is present in every SDG, including Among Us. Among Us mods break this rule for... seemingly no reason?

I will definitely NOT remove the Crewmate colours. I do understand your reasoning but if I do something like that I will get an angry mob chasing me with pitchforks. You have no idea how mad people were when I simply changed The Glitch to Glitch (from one of your last PRs). As for Executioner and Vampire I guess I could change their colours, this doesn't seem like a big issue though. I don't really see an issue with Executioner's colour but Vampire's one is a bit iffy. Also you're wrong about being no brown roles in ToS Werewolf exists.

I do have to admit the 2 colours you picked definitely look better than the current colours.
