There's a fair bit of boilerplate involved in element/subelement access with libadm.
This is an attempt to leverage the fact we're using named types and a consistent API to eliminate some of that boilerplate.
Very much a WIP, putting it here to make it easier to discuss.
The test file (visit_tests.cpp) are the best way to see how the API is intended to work.
