Eclipse Qrisp Software Meeting

  • Agenda:
    • new backend class
      • testing of AQT and IBM (currently no access)
      • Can apply for IBM, but AQT --> Niko
      • IBM access available
      • involve AQT, meeting with them, Call next Tuesday
      • connecting to Kipu
      • add tests for functionality that we want/have
        • write issues as form to capture requirements
        • clear process would be helpful/ visualisation
    • Requirements:
      • Define this process. How should it look like?
      • Annai and Niko will draft a simple first version
    • adding committers to readme
      • create mailing list
        • Sebastian and Niko will look into it
      • all committers or none
      • getting to many people at some point --> mailing list
      • link to Eclipse Website and having mailing list.
      • update Qrisp paper, new content add more people
    • Tutorial authorship

    • next Qrisp version
        1. June as goal
      • try to have a feature freeze at least a week before release
    • new workflow: test qrisp in different environments (MacOS and Windows alongside Ubuntu)
      • include different python versions!
      • might have issues with Catalyst in Windows
        • splitting testing pipeline, no catalyst tests for windows, but rest of this as well.
      • should be no problem for now with Mac
      • during feature freeze period for next version (0.9)
      • Ruff:
        • formatter (automatically) 0.9
        • linter for next version afterwards 0.10
    • Making Qrisp independent of Qiskit
      • state prep
        • Amir working on it
