  • Major feature additions: * NETEDIT is now open for everyone and has received lots of new features (i.e. junction shape drawing). Start editing your network from within SUMO-GUI by pressing CTRL+T * Close roads and let vehicle change their routes while the simulation is running by clicking in SUMO-GUI * Zipper merging is now supported (new node type "zipper") * Right-turn-on-red is now supported (new node type "traffic_light_right_turn_on_red") * Aggregate statistics (i.e. average time loss, average travel time) can now be shown in SUMO-GUI and written to a log file * New behavior of option --max-num-vehicles now allows maintaining a constant number of vehicles in the network * Jump to the vehicle or lane by clicking on the object ID in warning message in SUMO-GUI * Vissim .inpx networks can now be imported (Thanks to the Austrian Institute of Technology) * Multiple connections from the same edge to the same target lane are now supported with safe right-of-way rules * traceExporter.py now supports persons traces * added new tool tlsCoordinator.py for automatically coordinating traffic light plans within the whole network (experimental) * Plenty of new options to customize things that were hard-coded previously * Lots of new documentation. Learn about "routeProbeDetectors" which have been available for years. Major bugfixes: * Much better connection building in multi-modal networks * Various problems when importing and exporting OpenDrive were fixed * No more collisions at joined traffic lights due to invalid right-of-way at edges within the cluster * Fixed various lane-changing related bugs * More throughput at roundabouts due to fixed right-of-way rules * Improved heuristics when guessing motorway ramps, roundabouts and joined traffic light plans * Many fixes related to re-importing .net.xml files
