Hello,

actually on a journey to find how to add fingerprint feature with my ElementaryOS 8 and Dell Altitude 5400.

I've found the driver on https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/precision-mobile-workstations/broadcom-58200-fingerprint-sensor-linux-support-precision-3541/647f8a67f4ccf8a8dea44a57?page=2
and activated pam using terminal command.

But for now, I just have an error in authentication when using my fingerprint in the pantheon agent polkit and in the welcome login, I have the symbol for fingerprint but no reaction at all.

Where do I can see where the fingerprint features are actually integrated and where I can help ?

You have to enroll your finger first.

Hi, it was close to that.

I stopped the daemon, installed firmware, enrolled my fingerprints and started the daemon.

Now it works everywhere.
